Marine Inert Gas Blanketing

Hitech Instruments has the experience of 30 years designing and manufacturing gas analysers. Now embedded in the new, state of the art, purpose built factory of parent company.

Nitrogen and other gases are frequently used as a blanket to protect flammable cargoes and avoid oxidation of various metals. This can be to avoid spoilage or, more crucially combustion or explosion. To optimise the use of the blanketing gas and to ensure that the critical oxygen level is not exceeded, monitoring with an oxygen analyser is frequently required. The analyser used is determined by a number of factors - concentration to be monitored, location, speed of response required etc.
