Metal Heat Treatment

Hitech Instruments has the experience of 30 years designing and manufacturing gas analysers. Now embedded in the new, state of the art, purpose built factory of parent company.

Hitech gas analysers are suitable for most types of atmospheres used in the metal heat treatment processes.

Some examples include:

Inert gas (nitrogen/argon) - Typically requiring the monitoring of low levels (ppm) of oxygen.
Endo gas - Typically used to generate a reducing atmosphere where the oxygen content is measured in fractions of an atmosphere partial pressure or oxygen potential.
Dissociated Ammonia - For high hydrogen content atmospheres to protect easily oxidised materials or to nitride them. For the hydrogen content any of the K (thermal conductivity) analysers - K1550, K6050 etc. These can be calibrated in percentage hydrogen or percentage ammonia dissociation.
Hydrogen bearing atmospheres (HNx) - Typically used to generate more highly reducing atmospheres such as are used for stainless steel, galvanised sheet etc. For the oxygen content (or dewpoint) any zirconia based oxygen analyser with a reducing atmosphere sensor and software e.g. Z110, Z1110, Z4010, Z210
