Process Gas Analysers - Direct from the UK factory
Hitech Instruments has the experience of 30 years designing and manufacturing gas analysers. Now embedded in the new, state of the art, purpose built factory of parent company MTL Instruments, Hitech has the facilities and resource to expand the range of both hazardous and safe area process gas analysers.
Hitech make both sensors and electronics in house to give greater control over the process and the quality. Manufactured sensors include electrochemical and zirconia sensors for oxygen measurement and katharometers (thermal conductivity sensors) for gases such as hydrogen, helium and argon...

Is your Biogas analyser company experienced?
From humble beginnings over 30 years ago, Hitech Instruments have been making gas analysers using a variety of sensor technologies but always focused on application specific solutions.
The renewable energy biogas market is still in its infancy yet Hitech made its first biogas analyser over 15 years ago. In the intervening time many components have been adapted and changed to give optimum performance. For instance, the oxygen cell in some biogas analysers lasts only one year. In the GIR5000 lifetime can be up to 5 years!...

EBEC exhibition and workshop success
Hitech were very pleased with the recent EBEC, European Bioenergy Expo and Conference. Hitech gave a workshop on the consideration of hazardous areas in biogas plants – MTL, Hitech’s parent company, are a world leader in hazardous area interfaces and Hitech’s GIR5000 biogas analyser was one of the first on the market with ATEX certification. The exhibition was successful with customers old and new discussing Hitech’s solutions for biogas analysis and biomass gasification. If you would like a copy of the presentation please contact us.

New Portable CH4 CO2 and CO Analysers
The IR4030 series is a new range of portable gas analysers for methane, carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide from Hitech Instruments. The analysers are based on the already successful infrared sensors used in the wall mount IR600 range and incorporate all the features you would expect from a field instrument in a rugged case.

These are portable analysers designed for continuous measurement in a process environment - unlike the small, handheld instruments on the market. Thus the IR4030 is ideal as back-up to fixed instruments or for multi-site use. The rechargeable battery has been designed to last a full 8 hour shift...

Anaerobic Digester Case Study
Anaerobic digesters are now being widely used in wide variety of applications. This case study describes an application where the substrate was horticultural waste from a tomato growing operation. The Hitech GIR5000 biogas analyser was successfully used to monitor the biogas and optimise the process for efficiency and safety...
